How do you register people during the height of COVID? I personally challenged myself with that question.

I developed a program to engage restaurants in Dallas/Fort Worth to add a note about registration with their to-go orders and their in-restaurant checks in both English and Spanish. These flyers had a QR code that quickly and easily allowed the patron to check their registration and begin the registration process right there. They would then receive an email with their final form to mail in. (Note Texas does not have online registration).

I was able to enlist 40+ restaurants and retailers in this effort and successfully partnered with When We All Vote for the technology back end of the program. We had 300+ clicks to our QR code and we got Texans registered.

Part two of the program included flyers posted in apartment buildings in DFW. I knew that apartment residents often have a low registration rate. I also provided details for what they needed to know on election day.

At work, I was able to conduct several video workshops informing my co-workers about registration; how to check your status and get registered. I was able to help many and registered several from those workshops.
