A good friend of mine, working at Skywalker Sound at the time as a sound editor, wrote a short film, Asymmetry, based on an idea that love could be quantified like an equation or a science experiment.

I was asked to art direct the film. Sets, props, costumes, titles and credits and anything visual. I spent many meetings with the director and other crew attempting to come up with a look and feel.

We ended up being inspired by the French movie Delicatessen, by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro.

Quite a learning experience and probably the hardest I have every worked. But have to say it was a lot of fun.
